Ask to be tested for Hep C. Act to get the cure.

Hep C can damage your liver, cause liver cancer and even death. Ask your doctor for the test and the cure. If you have been tested and still engage in behavior that puts you at risk you should ask and act again.

HEA 1007 Hepatitis C Services Expansion

Suggested Expectations and Timeline of ZIP Coalitions for HEA 1007 Hep C Expansion
  1. Review Surveys of Interests received by THFGI for their Region.
    • Offer the opportunity for interested potential partners to submit or present additional information to help facilitate Coalition discussion (if needed).
  2. Review regional Hep C data from IDOH to help guide need for recommendation to THFGI.
  3. Recruit 2 people from the Coalition to participate in the scoring committee.
  4. Reach consensus on Coalition recommendation(s) for survey respondents interested in applying for a HEA 1007 Hep C position through THFGI or The Damien Center by the due date.
    • Each survey respondent should be scored individually. There are no limitations on scoring. All survey respondents can be given the full 20 points, if desired.

Timeline

  • October 14th – November 9th: ZIP Coalitions will meet during these dates to review surveys of interest and complete their applicant recommendations
  • October 17th – Statement of Interest surveys are due for Regions 1-6 and 8-10
  • November 9th – Statement of Interest survey is due for Region 7
  • November 15th – All survey respondent recommendations are due from ZIPs
  • November 17th – All survey respondents are encouraged to attend an Application Webinar scheduled at 3 pm EDT where information will be shared to learn about the final proposal and application process
  • December 12th – All Final Proposals are due
  • December 14th – Scoring Committee virtual briefing meeting will take place at 2 pm EDT
  • January 10th, 2023 – Scoresheets will be due
  • January 13th, 2023 – Virtual debriefing meeting will be scheduled at 2 pm EDT
