Hep C can damage your liver, cause liver cancer and even death. Ask your doctor for the test and the cure. If you have been tested and still engage in behavior that puts you at risk you should ask and act again.

Hepatitis C Services Expansion Scoring Committee Expectations and Conflict of Interest Guidance

Expectations

All scorers involved with the HEA 1007 Hepatitis C RFP scoring process are expected to do the following:

  • Scorers will agree to read formal proposals and budget requests in their entirety
  • Scorers will abstain from scoring in the case of a conflict of interest *see conflict of interest guidelines below
  • Scorers will complete scoring sheets
  • Scorers will base their evaluations on the content of the final proposals submitted
  • Scorers will maintain confidentiality upon reading formal proposals

Conflict of Interest (COI) Guidelines

A conflict of interest, in the context of scoring HEA 1007 Hep C final proposals, will include the following:

  • A scorer and/or their immediate family member that is employed at the organization the proposal is for
  • A scorer and/or their immediate family member who worked at the organization 5 months or less ago
  • A scorer and/or their immediate family member that works or runs an organization with a formal relationship with the applying organization
  • A scorer who is employed at an organization where they are a fiscal agent for the applying organization
  • A scorer who is a volunteer at the applying organization
  • A scorer who receives services at the organization
  • A scorer who has a financial stake at the organization
  • A scorer who is involved with the organization’s board committee, subcommittee, or any decision-making stake

**If any of these apply to a scorer, then they will abstain from the application they have a COI with.
